The final hole is decidedly uphill and bends to the left around the base
of the Tortolita Mountains.
The tee shot is played over the native desert to a generous fairway more
than 80 yards wide. The landing area is divided in the center by a gentle
break to a much lower right half of the fairway. The approach shot to the
green, which is uphill, must be deadly accurate to carry the front greenside
bunkers and avoid the hollow, which encompasses the putting surface.
With the clubhouse elevated behind the green, it is a fitting end to this
magnificent golf course.
