Dog-Leg Right |
The opening hole is an
uphill, gentle dog-leg right. The spectacular mountain
vistas behind the green alert the player that they are
in for a memorable and unique golfing experience.
The tee shot is played
to a spacious 80 yard wide fairway; though, the back
tee player must carry a wide crossing bunker. The best
angle for the approach shot is from the left side of
the fairway, as the putting surface is guarded on the
right by a daunting green side bunker. Two fore bunkers
are set into a shallow ridge well short of the green.
The putting surface is generally flat; though a ridge
bisects the right-side hole positions.
While the first hole is not terribly difficult,
it
will require precise, bold play in order to card a birdie.
