The par four second
begins the seven hole loop into Ruelas Canyon.
The canyon is blessed with spectacular rock outcroppings,
stunning desert flora featuring Saguaro cacti
and the ever present Ruelas Wash. The tee shot
landing area is generous; however the wash borders
the left side of the entire hole.
The golfer must
position the tee shot (near the wash boundary)
for right pin placements and right, near the fairway
bunkers, for back left pin placements. The putting
surface is guarded in front by a rock abutment
wall and is also protected by bunkers on the right
and in back of the green.
The approach shot
to the diagonal green must be placed precisely,
as the green falls away on the right and is separated
by two shallow breaks. Shot making will be premium
on this modest par four.
