The medium length par
four fifth climbs through the pristine canyon filled
with boulders, majestic Saguaro cacti, and remnants
of the old ranch, such as the cattle loading chute.
The Saguaros stand as sentinels along the steep slopes
bordering the right side of the fairway as they have
for hundreds of years.
The tee shot must avoid
several crossing-bunkers, both left and right, culminating
at the turn point where a perilous, deep bunker awaits.
The approach shot must be played to a plateaued green,
guarded in front by two steep faced bunkers. The putting
surface is relatively flat and slopes gently from back
to front.
This hole will require
careful ball striking to avoid the calamities that await
the errant shot.
