As the front nine begins its
track back towards the clubhouse, the downhill
par five sixth bends abruptly left, just
beyond the tee shot landing area.
The deep
cavern on the left and Ruelas Wash on the
right, make the tee shot both exciting and
dangerous. However, if the player can drive
the ball just inside the bunker perched
atop the edge of the fairway on the left,
the green can be easily reached in two shots.
The putting surface sits well below the
tee shot landing area and is framed behind
by the magnificent rock out cropping which
is covered with cacti and stunning desert
flora. The bunkers which surround the green,
place a premium on accurate play, whether
it is made with a long iron or short pitch.
The green, with its two gentle bisecting
ridges, makes for diabolical putting both
long and short.
This hole
has some of the most spectacular views of
the desert valley and is sure to be a favorite
of many players.
